Selling my Canon 1Ds Mark II

Friday, September 19th, 2008

I am selling the camera that I use as a backup (which means I don’t use it all that much.) It is a Canon 1Ds Mark II, not to be confused with the cheaper 1D Mark II. This was Canon’s top of the line camera when it came out and is the now the second best in it’s line (it was replaced by the 1Ds Mark III.)

This is a 16.7 megapixel camera with 45 AF points, a weather-sealed pro body, strong construction and takes amazing images!

I paid $8,000 for it brand new. I am asking $3,100 for it and I’m including a second battery (these batteries are amazing and last a full day.)

Anyone interested please contact me. I have the original box, manuals, cables, etc. I am very anal about my equipment and it has been taken good care of.

Go Behind the Shoot

Go Behind the Shoot web site coming soon!

In the next 2-3 months I will be launching a web site that is unlike anything done before. Currently there are blogs and web sites around the web who cater to photographers, wannabe photographers and anyone who has any interest in taking photos. In the last few years digital photography has made millions of people wannabe photographers. There are many sites popping up to give tips on shooting, some even showing some video. These sites are all very sterile and strictly educational.

Go Behind the Shoot is different in many, many regards.

The site will feature behind the scenes video of celebrity & musician photo shoots. I will be talking about the lighting, give some photo tips & instructional lessons in between set-ups.

BUT then we also interview the artist; talk about their new record, touring info and anything else they have going on or coming up.

I will then put it all the site with a separate page for each person with a bio, links to their site, MySpace, Virb, etc. There will also be a downloadable songs available for free or purchase.

Everyone is so voyeuristic these days, people want to see the “behind the scenes” of everything. GBTS takes this concept a few steps further to be a fun and educational web site that I think everyone will enjoy.

Advertising and sponsorship opportunities are available. Contact me for more details.

Lightsource Interview

Thursday, September 11th, 2008

About a year ago I was interviewed on the Lightsource Podcast. Lightsource is a great audio podcast that interviews photographers form around the globe. I think it went pretty well, give it a listen. A few things have changes since then including the camera I use (now the 1DS Mark III) and a few other things, check it out HERE

Welcome

Saturday, September 6th, 2008

WELCOME to the newest version of my site. I’m pretty pumped as the old site has been up for 3 years. The guys at Contraflage did an amazing job. This site is fast, clean and looks & works the exact same on an iPhone. I couldn’t be happier with the job they did.

Keep an eye on this blog for all sorts of updates, behind the scenes clips and who knows what else.

Thanks, David
